Psychotherapy
Dubbed “The Talking Cure” in the 19th Century, psychotherapy actually has ancient roots in Antiquity. Psychotherapy has undergone various transformations throughout the years and centuries, and although many still associate it with speaking only about the past, many forms now focus on the Now and working towards sustainable shifts within one’s own zone of development.
Whereas the thinking used to be that people were products, and thus victims of their past, psychotherapy now engages a new, powerful belief – we have the ability to change patterns that are destructive and live a life in alignment with values and goals.
In the first session, our practitioner, Allison Heiliczer, will ask about your current challenges, your past, and your goals and then work towards understanding the gap between where you want to be and where you are now. In subsequent sessions, you and Allison work together to bridge this gap and expand your growth.
Allison works with both individuals and with couples.
Psychotherapy can help you:
- Clarify your goals and values and put together an action plan to live them
- Navigate major life decisions
- Re-route your destructive habits towards healthier, conscious patterns
- Gain awareness of longstanding, destructive beliefs and re-engineer them towards robust, inspiring ones
- Heal traumatic events
- Relieve anxiety and depression
- Work to develop as a couple a unique connection to expand your growth together
The number of sessions needed will vary from person to person and couple to couple, and Allison will discuss an optimal plan with you at the end of the first session.
A session lasts about one hour. The cost of the first session is $1800 after which you can book a package of 3 sessions for $4800.
